Elizabeth Irmen serves as sales manager and district training manager for the Swarovski Crystal Business in Oak Brook, Illinois, where she assumes human resources and marketing responsibilities. As a community service, Elizabeth Irmen also volunteers for the Village Greens of Woodridge golf course.
Open since 1959, Village Greens has established itself as a premier golf destination, hosting many business and family outings and fundraising events for charity. Its 18 holes were designed by Robert Bruce Harris to achieve a park-like atmosphere in a suburban environment. Dotted with ponds, woods and streams, perhaps its best-appreciated hole is the tough par-5, 500-yard 18th. A prominent water hazard on the fairway adds to the challenge.
The Village Greens staff offers exceptional services, ranging from golf carts to club drop-off and special contests. A driving range and instructional clinics help guests practice their skills.
Participants can cap off their day with fine dining. Village Greens provides buffet options in the Italian style, or chicken and beef barbecue. Also available are delicious deli sandwich offerings.
As an incentive, the club provides a free round of golf for two prospective group members. Contact www.villagegreensgolf.com/.
